Food Science and Technology is the Institute of Food Science & Technology's quarterly magazine, providing news and topical articles on all aspects of food science and technology.

Editor-in-Chief - Melanie Brown

Melanie Brown is a specialist in environmental and sustainability issues and an experienced scientific journalist. Her consulting company, Biophase, combines expertise in waste management with skills in business research and technical writing. She joined the consulting group Acumentia in 2006 and has recently undertaken a variety of projects in the food sector as a member of an Acumentia expert team. She is Managing Editor of the quarterly electronic publication Flavour Horizons and is a regular expert evaluator for the European Commission. Previously she worked for a company at Queen Mary University of London helping to develop inventions emerging from the university; she was a founder director of a start-up company in the environmental biotechnology field.

Digital Content Editor - Izabela Nair
Izabela is IFST's Media and Communications Coordinator. An aspect of her role includes acting as a Digital Content Editor for FS&T. She has a Master's in Media and Communications Management and a background in public relations.
